Kiah is three! First off, can’t believe I’m a mother to a three year old. Time has gone way too fast!
I love celebrating all occasions and kids birthdays are definitely on top of that list. Although I have so many ideas that I would like to play with and create, I told myself I would always let Kiah lead the way on what he likes and build on that. The amount of instagram followers I seem to gain when I talk about my child is encouraging, as it shows that people are interested in the content I have to share. I am a proud mother so he is what makes me the happiest at the end of the day.
About 6 months ago Kiah watch Coco and fell in love with the movie and all the songs. The soundtrack was played daily, multiple times a day in our household. So when we asked what he wants to do for his birthday, it was no surprise it would be Coco!!
If you know anything about me, you know I love my neutrals. Anything mute, pale, earth tone is my jam. So creating a theme off of a super colorful pallet was intimidating but I tried my best to make it work by muting it with black and adding lots of little touches of color.
One of my favorites was the stage we set up, complete with a karaoke machine for the kiddos with tonnes of kids songs. Because the highlight of coco is obviously the singing. Kiah (or should I say Miguel) killed it on the stage and performed every single song with all his friends.
I’m happy with how it turned out and most important of all Kiah was thrilled with every element of the birthday. It will definitely be a day he will always remember and that is what makes my heart so happy.
Thank you to all the wonderful creatives who collaborated to make this party come to life.
